As a young girl, numbers spoke to me. I loved math in school and chose to integrate my love of numbers into my former career as a business coach, so is it any wonder that it also found a special place in my spiritual development. 2016 is wrapping up, and many have remarked about the many deaths that the year brought. As a universal year number 9, it was a year of completion for many. England reported having more than twice the number of deaths in the first quarter than in years previous. Now we are entering a univeral 1 year - a time of new beginnings that will guide us and our planet for the next 9 years.
Numerology is the study of the numbers that rule your experience on the planet. Generally people focus on the four core numbers: The Life Path, the Expression, The Soul Urge and the Birthday. All of these numbers were determined before your birth based upon the lessons and sublessons you were wanting to experience this lifetime. Some of these numbes cannot be changed - the date of your birth and the birthdate, while the Expression and the Soul Urge are based upon your name. Women, and sometimes men, can choose to modify these lessons and experiences. Not only are there the four core numbers that speak to our experience here, but there are also several short and long term numbers that can guide and enhance your experience in life. Your personal year, your personal month and your personal day can all effect your path and, consequently, your life. For an introduction to numerology, I'm pleased to be speaking at the Nature of the Soul gathering in Alexandria, MN in February 2017. Stay tuned for more information on day and time.

In my jewelry box are a number of pieces handed down generation from generation. My husband has stored relics from his father and his father's father. Each of these unique pieces contain energy from the person who once owned them. Some of the pieces were purchased new, others were found in second hand stores. All of them contain impressions from the people who have come in contact with them before.
Psychometry is an ability to sense or 'read' an object to learn its history. This ability, like all psychic abilities, can be learned. What is needed? A little guidance, some practice using your intuition, and feedback to allow you to gain confidence. “I write because I am alone and move through the world alone. No one will know what has passed through me... I write because there are stories that people have forgotten to tell, because I am a woman trying to stand up in my life... I write out of hurt and how to make hurt okay; how to make myself strong and come home, and it may be the only real home I'll ever have.”
― Natalie Goldberg, Writing Down the Bones: Freeing the Writer Within Journaling is the art of sacred writing. It means taking the time to sit down and explore the world around you and your place in it. Many, when they think about journaling, remember back to the diary of years ago. And what if you took that diary now and opened it up? What if you looked inside and saw the person you were before? What lessons have you learned? What hopes and fears did you express? Writers have long known the benefits of writing: 1. Writing = happiness: writing, a form of expression, allows us to explore our life in a therapeutic way. 2. Writing encourages better thinking and communication: Being able to write down your thoughts and feelings opens up the ability for you to express yourself in other settings as well. 3. All humans have energy that can be shared. You made have noticed this when you find yourself in the presence of someone who is having a bad day, their negative energy may also challenge your spirit.
During an energy healing circle, we come together to provide healing to each other in an environment filled with loving thoughts and kindness. Prior to the Healing time the space to be used will be cleansed using sage or incense. Each person before entering or upon entering the space will also be cleansed of any negative energy that might be attached. Soft music will accompany the healing circle and all lights will be dimmed before the session begins. A prayer to God sets the intention of what is to take place. Taking turns, each person will be healer and then healed. Each member of the circle will have the ability to determine if they are comfortable with some light touch, or would prefer no touch - either is fine. If light touch is desired, hands may touch the body from the shoulders to the wrists, knees to ankles, bottoms of the feet, and head - all other areas of the body will receive healing without touch. As each of us experiences this world differently, after the healing session, a time for reflection and discussion will occur. |
